Toronto-based band A Primitive Evolution unleash Cover Of Motorhead’s ‘Ace Of Spades’

With their unique brand of dark electronic metal, the Toronto-based band A Primitive Evolution (A.P.E.) will soon be unleashing their cover of Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades” This long-awaited follow-up to their 2018 album “Becoming,” will be released by Metropolis Records on March 3rd via all streaming and digital platforms.

The band recently said, “Ace of Spades” as a cover for us actually started years ago, we had been playing it live for fun. When we were writing our last album “Becoming” we were listening to a lot of the Motörhead classics and thought what if we slowed this track way down to sound like one of our dirty rock jams? We fell in love with the result and played it around, it got some great reactions so we decided to finally record it! We’re just sad Lemmy will never get to hear it. So in his honor, we shall release it into the world! May the metal gods accept this filthy offering.”

A Primitive Evolution are Brett Carruthers on Vocals, Guitars and Synths, Steph Misayo Seki on Bass and Synths and Stu Dead on Drums, Percussion and Dirty Beats.

Out of the primordial soup comes A Primitive Evolution (A.P.E.). Given the gift of sentience, they are here to create a constantly evolving soundtrack to our world with their dark, alternative rock music. There is a sneak peek of ‘Ace Of Spades’ now available on bandcamp.

Keep Up With A Primitive Evolution
