Get Into The Groove With Liverpool Psych Festival 2017

Turn on, tune in and join the 2017 Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia (a.k.a. Liverpool Psych Fest or PZYK). The two-day festival kicks off on September, 22 and features some of the worlds greatest psychedelic music both live and DJ sets. Get into the groove with this mind expanding sonic explosion along side a multitude of activities including; a pre-festival exclusive show headlined by New Jersey’s Ducktails (Real Estate guitarist Matt Mondanile), a film programme, daytime events, exclusive new virtual reality installations, an immersive late night audio visual experience, an opening party and launch events, and a month long art exhibition that supports this year’s aesthetic.

PZYK offers an awe-inspiring trip with headliners such as Texas’ neo-psych favorites The Black Angels and Croydon space rock veterans Loop. The 2017 PZYK Congregation also includes Lætitia Sadier, A Place To Bury Strangers, The KVB, The Telescopes, Songhoy Blues, Träd Gräs och Stenar, Träden, W.I.T.C.H (We Intend To Cause Havoc), The Holydrug Couple, Wolf People, The Bug vs Dylan Carlson, Jane Weaver, Adrian Sherwood, Fujiya & Miyagi, The Comet is Coming, White Manna, GNOD, Endless Boogie, Sex Swing, Castles, In Bliss, Celestial Bums, and many more artists.

This is today’s global psychedelic renaissance, alongside visual art, film, performance and mind expanding visual delights. Once again, masses of psychedelic activities will pack the warehouses and recesses of Camp & Furnace, Blade Factory + District in Liverpool’s so-called Baltic Triangle for a global psychedelic frenzy.

Organizers this year are running with the motto “THIS FESTIVAL WILL DESTROY YOU”. In other words, prepare for the PZYK sonic and visual experience of your life… but if for some reason you can’t be there, California’s KFJC 89.7FM will be broadcasting the festival live from the four festival stages, as well as interviews, online via and on FM in the San Francisco Bay area.
